Monday 14 July 2025 Pilgrimage of the Houses – A Journey of Love and Virtue This week, our whole school community took part in a special end-of-year event: “Walking in Love – A Pilgrimage of the Houses.” Led beautifully by our Year 6 House Captains, each child journeyed in their House group around the school grounds, stopping at four prayer stations to honour our House Saints: St. Bede, St. Hilda, St. John Fisher, and St. Margaret Clitherow.

Friday 20 June 2025 Year 6 Pilgrimage – A Journey of Reflection and Hope As part of the Pilgrim Year of Hope, our Year 6 pupils took part in a very special pilgrimage walk — a day of thanksgiving, reflection, and transition. The pilgrimage also marked the centenary year of our parish church, St. Joseph's.

Friday 9 May 2025 VE Day 80th Celebrations at School This week, our school marked the 80th Anniversary of VE Day with a joyful celebration. The children brought in food to share for a whole-school picnic, creating a wonderful sense of togetherness and community. Before indulging in their feast, the whole school gathered to sing wartime classics, filling the school field with the sounds of celebration and unity.

Friday 9 May 2025 Mini Vinnies Lead Beautiful Marian Worship This week, our Mini Vinnies led a beautiful worship in honour of Mary, the Mother of the Church. The children brought in flowers as a symbol of love and devotion, which were later donated to St. Joseph's Church Flower Team, Emmaus House Residential Home, and other local homes—ensuring our acts of kindness can continue to bloom in our community.

Wednesday 5 March 2025 Pilgrims of Hope: Our Special Visit from the Jubilee Banner This week, our school was blessed to receive the Diocese of Leeds Jubilee Banner as part of its special journey around Catholic schools in our Diocese. Sunday 2 March 2025 Lent at St. Joseph's - A Time for Prayer, Reflection, and Giving As we enter the holy season of Lent, our school family is called to pray, reflect, and take action to help those in need. Lent is a time of preparation, leading us towards the celebration of Easter. Just as Jesus fasted for 40 days in the desert, we too are encouraged to sacrifice, serve, and show kindness to others.
