Stakeholder Views
Throughout each year we will be sending out surveys to gather views of the stakeholders of school. We will share these results and notify our stakeholders of any created actions. We work incredibly hard to provide the best offer for our pupils and we are always willing to receive and reflect on feedback that can help us to grow as a thriving school community.

✅ Strengths Highlighted by Families:
-
Caring and committed staff
Many responses praised teachers and support staff for their dedication, kindness, and positive relationships with children. -
Strong school values and ethos
Families appreciated the school’s focus on well-being, inclusivity, Catholic values, and a warm, respectful environment. -
Positive pupil experience
A significant number of comments noted how happy children are at school, with some parents observing positive emotional and academic development. -
Enrichment and extracurricular opportunities
Events such as Sports Day, Secret Readers, orienteering games, class assemblies, and PE provision (including additional sessions and external coaches) were frequently highlighted as successful and enjoyable. -
Improved communication
Parents welcomed clearer advance notice for events and appreciated responsive communication from staff and the school office.
🟡 Areas for Development:
-
Food provision
We are reviewing the food provision with our caterers and governors during the next academic year. -
Stretch and challenge for confident learners
Challenge is a key focus in our curriculum design and daily teaching, and our excellent outcomes reflect this. We recognise that families are eager to support learning at home, so we will continue to develop how we signpost optional resources and share strategies to deepen children’s thinking both in and beyond the classroom. -
Reading materials We are committed to fostering a love of reading across the school: we are investing in replenishing and updating our reading materials using both curriculum and fundraising budgets. We are also exploring the addition of a reading pergola for the playground, creating a dedicated outdoor space where children can enjoy books throughout the day.
-
Recognition and awards There were mixed views about how awards and certificates are distributed, with suggestions to ensure inclusivity and consistency across the school. A new app is being researched to support communication between home and school.
-
After-school clubs
While many praised the range of clubs, some parents would like more activities for KS1 pupils and more competitive sports events. We will review club offerings in collaboration with Wharfe Valley Active and internal staff availability. A new partnership with Sporting Influence is being investigated to provide regular competitions across the school.
