St. Joseph's Celebrates Participation in Record-Breaking Poetry Event! 

We are thrilled to announce that our school has been part of a record-breaking poetry event, officially recognised by Guinness World Records!

The attempt was for the Largest Poetry Lesson (Multi Venues), with a formal record set at 43,516 participants—enough to fill a football stadium! While over 125,000 young people from more than 1,000 schools took part, only those meeting Guinness World Records’ strict requirements could be counted in the final tally. However, every participant played a vital role in creating the poem and making this a truly historic event.

A huge thank you to our incredible pupils for their enthusiasm and creativity, and to our dedicated staff for ensuring we met the evidence requirements. Their efforts—filming, submitting evidence, and responding to final checks—helped make this achievement possible.

We are so proud to have been part of this amazing global poetry community, inspiring a love of language and creativity on a record-breaking scale!
