Walking with Christ: A Rich Prayer Life this Lent and Easter Season
As we journeyed through Lent and prepared our hearts for the joy of Easter, our school has been deeply blessed by the rich and prayerful experiences shared across the community.
🌿We began with a beautifully moving Easter assembly led by Year 4. Through their thoughtful reflections and lovely singing, they reminded us of the hope and light that Easter brings. The reverence and joy they showed touched the hearts of all who attended.
✝️Later that day, Year 6 led the whole of KS2 in the Stations of the Cross. Each leader guided us through Jesus' final journey with deep respect, solemnity and maturity. Children across KS2 engaged with the Stations in a spirit of quiet reflection and prayer, marking each moment with heartfelt understanding of Christ’s sacrifice.
✝️We were also blessed to welcome Father Ben, who celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation with our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. This sacred time gave children the opportunity to pause, reflect, and prepare spiritually for the great feast of Easter.
As a school, we are deeply committed to nurturing the prayer life of our community, helping our children encounter God through scripture, song, silence, and sacrament. We are so proud of the way our pupils have embraced this season with open hearts and faithful minds.
