VE Day 80th Celebrations at School

This week, our school marked the 80th Anniversary of VE Day with a joyful celebration. The children brought in food to share for a whole-school picnic, creating a wonderful sense of togetherness and community. Before indulging in their feast, the whole school gathered to sing wartime classics, filling the school field with the sounds of celebration and unity.

In class, the children took time to reflect on the importance of peace and why remembering this significant event is essential for honouring the past and learning from it. It was a truly special day, reminding us of the sacrifices made for our freedom and the importance of cherishing peace in our world today.
