Using Our Power for Good – Anti-Bullying Week 2025 at St Joseph’s

The week kicked off in colourful style with Odd Socks Day on Monday 10th November. Children and staff arrived at school wearing bright, mismatched socks to celebrate what makes each of us unique and special. While the day was full of fun and laughter, the message was serious: we are all different, and we should always be kind to one another and respectful of each other’s individuality.
Throughout the week, each class engaged in age-appropriate discussions and activities linked to the "Power for Good" theme. Children explored what bullying is, how it can affect others, and - most importantly - how we can all use our voices and actions to speak up, support others, and create a culture of kindness and inclusion.
The message of the week was clear:
We all have the Power for Good—to stand up, speak out, and help build a world where kindness wins.
Anti-Bullying Week is coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, following consultation with teachers and pupils. The campaign reflects a shared desire for empowerment - to not only raise awareness about bullying but to encourage positive action against it.
As a school rooted in the values of love, respect, and compassion, we are proud of how our children are growing into thoughtful, courageous individuals who know that their words and actions matter.
Together, we continue to build a school where everyone belongs, everyone is valued, and everyone has the power to make a difference - for good.
