Autumn Term Sporting Highlights

This term, pupils across the school have enjoyed a fantastic range of opportunities to take part in sporting events and tournaments, proudly representing St Joseph’s at venues across Harrogate.

From Year 2 right up to Year 6, children have demonstrated enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship in every event.

Here’s a look back at some of the sporting highlights so far:

  • Year 2 enjoyed multiple Football Festivals at Harrogate High School thanks to Sporting Influence, gaining confidence and experience in friendly competition.

  • Year 5/6 took part in football matches at Ashville College and St John Fisher, where they displayed skill and determination.

  • Year 3/4 impressed in their football match at St John Fisher, showing great teamwork and passion for the game.

  • Our KS2 Girls’ Football Team represented the school with pride at Harrogate High, with brilliant performances across the board.

  • Year 6 enjoyed an active Sports Morning at New Park Primary School, joining other schools for a fun and energetic morning.

A special well done to our Year 4 Football Team, who came 1st place in the tournament at Harrogate High - an amazing achievement!

As we move through the second half of term, our football teams in Years 4–6 continue to take part in regular fixtures at Harrogate High, organised by Sporting Influence.

We are so proud of all the children who have taken part so far—both for their sporting talents and the way they represent our school with respect, teamwork, and joy.

A big thank you to Sporting Influence, our host schools, and to our staff and families who help support these brilliant opportunities. Here’s to more sporting successes ahead!
