Behaviour

At St Joseph's, we have created a positive and supportive school culture that focuses on character education and personal development for both pupils and staff. We believe that every child has the potential to thrive, and central to this is our teaching and practice of key virtues. These virtues are not only learned but also modelled by everyone, helping us all strive to be the best we can be.

Our core virtues—Gratitude, Humility, Courage, and Service—guide everything we do. They shape our curriculum, influence our daily behaviours and attitudes, and are woven into all our enrichment activities. By living out these virtues, we aim to nurture children who excel not just academically but in all areas of life.

We believe that excellent behaviour and personal growth go hand in hand. With a clear system of behavioural expectations and guidance, we are committed to helping every child develop strong character and a sense of purpose, so they can flourish in school and beyond.

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us make St Joseph's a place where every child can grow and succeed.

We take care of one another.

Our school has lots of nice people in it, we do not exclude anyone.

Y3 pupil

The behaviour of almost all pupils is exemplary at all times. In proportion to their years, they show an ability to listen, to give thanks, and to empathise with other peoples’ and pupils’ lifestyles.
